The group meets at 6 p.m. at the store. Book groups are free if books are purchased at Kona Stories, or a $5 donation is requested.

Drawing on previously classified CIA documents and on interviews with firsthand participants, “The Billion Dollar Spy” is a brilliant feat of reporting and a riveting true story of intrigue in the final years of the Cold War.

Hoffman is a contributing editor at The Washington Post and a correspondent for PBS flagship investigative series, “Frontline.” He is the author of “The Oligarchs” and “The Dead Hand,” about the end of the Cold War arms race, and winner of a Pulitzer Prize. He lives with his wife in Maryland.”
